A panel of Brazil’s Supreme Court justices began deliberations on Tuesday, March 25, to decide whether to put former President Jair Bolsonaro on trial. Bolsonaro and seven others are accused of several crimes, including attempting a coup.
If a trial moves forward and Bolsonaro is found guilty, he faces a possible sentence of 30 years or more in prison.
