Many Democrats in the US were stunned after the defeat of Kamala Harris last November in the Presidential election. A second term for Donald Trump and Republican control of both houses of the US Congress meant they were left with little to no power in Washington DC. An internal debate about what went wrong paralyzed the party for months and it is essentially without a national leader.  In recent weeks, however, the Democrats have shown new signs of political re-engagement. Can the party rise from the ashes? CGTN’s Nathan King reports.
