Activists protest Trump administration’s attack on Civil Rights history

World Today

Civil rights activists are leading a protest against moves by the Trump administration to alter the teaching of Black history in the country, gathering Saturday, May 3, for a march in the capital.

This follows action by U.S. President Trump to eliminate all diversity programs from the government and beyond, as well as alter the presentation of artifacts at the world-renowned Smithsonian Museum dedicated to African American culture.
