Peruvian author Mario Vargas Llosa, a giant of Latin American literature, died Sunday, April 13, at 89 years old. Llosa was awarded the Nobel prize for literature in 2010 “for his cartography of structures of power and his trenchant images of the individual’s resistance, revolt, and defeat.” CGTN’s Dan Collyns interviewed Llosa who spoke about his writing and politics.
