Rideshare drivers struggling with soaring gas prices

World Today

Gasoline prices in the U.S., which surged upwards when the hostilities in Ukraine began, appear to have leveled off at a national average of $4.24 per gallon this week.

That’s 63 cents a gallon more than a month ago and a real concern for Americans who are already dealing with high inflation.

Among those for whom the cost of gas has become a daily challenge are rideshare drivers who make their living on the road.
