Inflation surges in Argentina

The coronavirus pandemic and conflict in Ukraine have sparked the highest level of inflation in decades in the U.S. and Europe.

The same is happening in Argentina, but in Latin America’s third largest economy, monthly inflation is around the same level as many countries are seeing in a year.

The country’s statistics institute reported 6% inflation on Thursday – for April alone.
