And the online rental service, Airbnb, which lets property owners rent out their spaces to travelers looking for a place to stay, is capitalizing on this.
It recently struck a deal to draw more foreigners, mainly from the United States to the Mexican capital.
While the deal is making millions for property owners, some worry that local residents are being priced out of certain neighborhoods.
