Gang violence escalates in Haiti

Already struggling with getting basic necessities like food and medicine, Haitians now find themselves struggling again after an escalation in violence from gangs seeking to oust Prime Minister Ariel Henry. The Haitian government declared a 72-hour state of emergency and a night curfew on Sunday but the measures have had little effect as gangs now control about 80 percent of the capital, Port-au-Prince.
