House passes bill that could lead to U.S. ban of TikTok

U.S. Congressional lawmakers have voted in favor of a bill to ban the popular Chinese-owned social media app, TikTok. The bill’s authors say TikTok poses a national security threat.

China says the vote to possibly ban TikTok, “undermines confidence of international investors” and “will eventually backfire on the U.S. itself.”
