Nearly 2,200 arrests amid crackdown on U.S. campus protests over Gaza

Weeks into a wave of pro-Palestinian encampments on college campuses across the U.S., many students are still calling for their school administrations to divest from Israel.

While some universities, like Brown and Northwestern University, have come to peaceful agreements with students, many more have seen violent confrontations, with almost 2,200 protestors taken into custody.

As graduation season kicks off, campuses are on high alert. On Saturday morning, at the University of Michigan, pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel protestors interrupted the commencement ceremony.
