U.S. House holds hearing on antisemitism on college campuses following tense protests

Weeks of protests and police crackdowns, as students at Columbia University called for divestment from Israel, showing support for the pro-Palestinian cause.

And soon, these scenes were mirrored across campuses nationwide.

The University of New York held its annual commencement ceremony on Wednesday, May 15, while the city’s Columbia University held smaller ceremonies following weeks of pro-Gaza protests.

At the same time, on Capitol Hill, a House committee held hearings on anti-Semitism on college campuses.
