With the Paris Olympics set to open this week, France now has another reason to celebrate after the French Alps won the right to host the 2030 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

The United States is celebrating, too. Already set to host the Los Angeles Summer Olympics in 2028, it will now also host the 2034 Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. But both awards came with conditions. CGTN’s Dan Williams reports.
