The number of billionaires around the world is on the rise.They are increasingly shaping our world from being involved in politics to philanthropy to funding cures for diseases. But what impact is it having on the ordinary citizen?

Fast cars, fancy houses and private jets have long been the marks of a billionaire. But contributing to social causes and charities has also been synonymous with the world’s highest earners.

Most recently, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have started a campaign urging the world’s wealthiest to donate at least half of their worth to philanthropic causes.
