The Heat: China’s foreign minister addresses policy questions

It’s an annual event. Each year while the National People’s Congress is in session, China’s foreign minister sits down with the media for a wide-ranging discussion of the country’s foreign policy.

And so it was earlier this week when Foreign Minister Wang Yi answered questions for more than two hours on a host of topics.

The Heat interviewed the a panel of experts about China’s foreign policy:

  • Kenneth Lieberthal, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.
  • Economics professor Keyu Jin. She’s with the London School of Economics.
  • Sourabh Gupta, a Resident Senior Fellow with the Institute for China-America Studies.
  • Victor Gao, the Director of the China National Association of International Studies.
