After six years of frozen relations, China and Norway have renewed ties. The thaw signals a new era in Sino-Nordic relations – so what does the future hold?
CGTN’s Han Peng reports.
With a handshake and a smile, six years of frozen relations melt away. Norway and China have fully restored ties and the two countries are charting a new course of economic and strategic partnership.
To discuss the relationship between China and Norway:
- Shi Zhiqin, a resident-scholar at Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy.
- Øystein Tunsjø, a professor at the Norweigan Institute for Defense Studies.

To examine China’s growing role in Europe:
- Tilman Pradt, author of the new book, “China’s New Foreign Policy.”
