In 1951, the Agreement of the Central People’s Government and the Local Government of Tibet on Measures for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet was signed in Beijing.
It marked the peaceful liberation of Tibet and started a completely new and historical process for the advancement of Tibetan society.
Since then, living standards have drastically improved for people in the region. And the development was coupled with preserving the culture and heritage.
