The Chinese government released a white paper with its vision of global development.

The document comes at a time when the world is facing daunting challenges, like climate change and conflicts.

We will get to that in a moment, but first the outbreak of war between the Israelis and Palestinians. The Chinese foreign ministry had this to say.
