Israel says its military has entered Gaza City in what’s expected to be a long and deadly ground invasion.
According to the Palestinian Health Authority, more than 9,000 people have been killed since October 7th when Hamas fighters entered Israel and killed 1,400 Israelis.
Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is on his way to Israel for talks on Friday. Blinken is expected to call for a pause in the fighting to allow for food and critical supplies to enter Gaza.
On Thursday, more foreign and dual nationals were allowed to leave Gaza through the Rafah border Crossing, after a diplomatic deal was reached.
