Hurricane Milton lost strength when reached the U.S. state of Florida, but still caused considerable damage.
Winds clocked at 160 kilometers-per-hour ripped the roof off a baseball stadium and sent a crane crashing into a building in St. Petersburg.
The storm left some three million homes and businesses without power.
