The United States says it’s pulling out of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty with Russia.
Thirty-one years ago, the U.S. and Soviet Union agreed to reduce their nuclear arsenals and ultimately destroyed nearly 2,700 missiles. As CGTN’s White House Correspondent Nathan King reports, it was a pivotal moment in ending the Cold War.
