As the 17th BRICS Summit concludes in Rio de Janeiro, the economic bloc’s relevance in global affairs is growing. BRICS GDP in purchasing power parity is now larger than the G7’s.
Originally composed of Brazil, Russia, India & China, then expanded to include South Africa, and now with six more members, the group is positioning itself as a powerful voice for the Global South.
