Leaders from APEC, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation group, have pledged to work toward free and open trade to revive economies battered by the coronavirus pandemic.

A virtual gathering of APEC economic leaders wrapped up Friday, with member nations calling for economic integration and closer cooperation in the fight against COVID-19. CGTN’s Rian Maelzer has more from Kuala Lumpur.
