The Taliban picked Muhammad Hassan Akhund as the country’s Prime Minister. He is seen as an influential and respected leader on the religious side of the group.
The deputy Prime Minister will be Abdul Ghani Baradar, who led the Taliban delegation in peace talks in Qatar.
