The world conference on climate change, COP27 set to take place in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt in less than month. What are the main topics expected to be and what has been achieved following last year’s COP in Glasgow?
It started in 1995, in Berlin. The Conference of the Parties, or COP, are annual conferences to discuss and negotiate climate change policies, strategies and vision for the future. And they are becoming more and more important as scientists tell us the window of time available to take meaningful climate action is closing quickly.
Joining the discussion:
- Changhua Wu is CEO of Beijing Future Innovation Center.
- Michael Dorsey is Member of the Club of Rome.
- Sergio Margulis is a consultant at the International Institute for Sustainability.

Nigeria is suffering its worst flooding in a decade, largely because of heavy rains caused by climate change. At least 603 people have died, more than 2,400 others have been injured and over 1.4 million have been displaced. https://t.co/oEXy0QvCq8 pic.twitter.com/hoapKSnXgO
