China pushes back against harsh rhetoric from G7 nations.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that it lodged a strong protest to G7 summit host Japan and other relevant parties after the group pointed fingers at China on a number of topics. The ministry said the G7 smeared and attacked China brazenly interfering in the country’s internal affairs.

China has urged the G7 to 'refrain from engaging in coercive diplomacy and closed and exclusive cliques'.
A spokesman for the Chinese government also stated that: 'China has never engaged in coercion or bullying.'
