Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed Colombian President Gustavo Francisco Petro for a state visit in Beijing.
China has invested heavily in Colombia with infrastructure projects and mining operations and was the first country to send vaccines during the COVID-19 pandemic. The two developing countries signed twelve cooperation deals including industrial investment, trade and green development.
